Who looks outside, dreams;
who looks inside, awakes.”

About Yvonne

“Clients come to me because they feel stuck, unable to manage their emotions and sometimes their behaviour. Most likely the strategies which they have adopted for getting through life are not working for them, either temporarily or in the longer term.”

Yvonne worked for over 20 years as a University lecturer and latterly trained as a psychotherapist.

I work with individuals using Jungian Psychotherapy as the underpinning model. Thus dream work, art and other creative interests can all be part of the work.

About Jungian Therapy

Often a change of circumstances, be it the loss of a loved one, retirement or family events leave us feeling a lack of zest for life. Over a long period, this stress can lead to low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, or a feeling of hopelessness.

Jungian psychotherapy is a specialised way of working in which the client works together with the therapist to increase awareness to help you move forward in your life.

At the heart of Jungian approach is the realignment of conscious and unconscious aspects of our personality resulting in us feeling more at peace with oneself. Thus, it aims towards psychological balance and wholeness and to bring relief and meaning to one’s suffering.

This way of working suits both men and women who are willing to explore both their past and present and develop their understanding of the true self. This wider awareness may be gained through focusing on memories, dreams, or art work. By its very nature it does take time.
